See Meng is a Senior Assistant Director of Customer Experience at the Work Pass Division, Ministry of Manpower (MOM). The Work Pass Division administers the rules on foreigners working in Singapore. He leads an editorial team who keeps the Division’s letters and public information clear and simple. He also does service design for new services and policy initiatives.
See Meng is part of the transformation team that redesigned MOM’s various service centres and how we communicate to customers. Through user- centred design, the centres improved the service experience without compromising their efficiency. In communications, the use of plain English and design helps customers read and understand MOM’s letters more easily. The transformation team’s work has won several public sector awards and serves as an inspiration for many government agencies.
Prior to this, See Meng spent the early part of his career recovering owed salaries for workers from their employers. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Nanyang Technological University but decides to put this knowledge engineering great experiences for people instead.
